Scoping Out the Project

It is a comprehensive mobile application designed to provide a safe and structured environment for children to engage in digital activities while under the supervision of their parents. The app allows parents to manage their child’s screen time, facilitate secure interactions with friends, and encourage educational activities through a range of interactive features. By offering a robust set of tools for monitoring and controlling digital usage, SeeSaw aims to balance fun and safety in a child’s online experience.

Facing Challenges Head on

The main challenge was integrating the Unity games into the Android and iOS versions of the app. Similarly, we also experienced difficulties in upholding the multiplayer experience in these games consistently and flawlessly. But the problem was resolved.

Outcome and Feedback

In this application, parent can add their kids and allot time slot for playing games, video calling with their friends, group reading. Each and every action of a student will notify the parent to make the parent aware of what their kids are doing. Also, the friends can be made with the approval of both parents as well.

Technical Implementation

To make this SeeSaw app compatible with the iOS platform, we used the programming language of Swift. For Android, we utilized the Kotlin programming language. The mini-games on this app were created using the Unity game engine. Node.Js for backend development with MySQL and MongoDB were used for smooth data management. Socket.io was integrated to provide a seamless multiplayer experience.
