A smaller discovery, prototype, proof-of-concept, or planning phase often makes more sense when scope, technical risk, product direction, or budget still needs validation. The aim is to answer the questions that would otherwise make a larger build difficult to estimate or execute. If the direction holds up, the next phase starts with better information.

Before detailed project information is shared, Red Apple Technologies can sign your NDA or provide one. That gives both sides a confidentiality framework for discussing technical requirements, product plans, commercial information, reference material, and other sensitive details before the wider scope is evaluated.

The commercial agreement defines ownership and handover for the engagement. Project-specific source code, design files, art assets, documentation, and other deliverables can be transferred as agreed. Third-party tools, frameworks, licensed assets, fonts, SDKs, and platform components remain subject to their own licence terms, so those dependencies should be identified rather than treated as custom IP.

There is no single blended rate that makes every cross-functional project comparable. The estimate follows the actual workstreams, specialists, technical unknowns, platforms, integrations, art or content volume, QA needs, and delivery model. Where uncertainty is still high, a discovery or validation phase can separate the unknowns before a larger commitment is made.

A change is first checked against the agreed scope, schedule, dependencies, and budget. Small changes may fit inside the existing plan; larger ones may mean reprioritizing work, revising a milestone, or formally updating scope. The important part is making the impact visible before the team commits to it.

Security and compliance depend on the product, its data, platforms, integrations, users, and jurisdictions. Relevant controls may include access management, secure development practices, encryption, testing, logging, review processes, or compliance-specific requirements where they apply. We define those needs for the engagement instead of treating one generic checklist as proof that every product is automatically compliant.

Taking over an existing product usually starts with the codebase, architecture, dependencies, documentation, deployment setup, known issues, and current business priorities. From there, the work can focus on stabilization, modernization, new features, migration, performance, design improvement, or a defined area of ownership. A takeover does not automatically mean rebuilding the entire product.

Post-launch support is scoped around what the product actually needs. That may include maintenance, QA, performance work, platform updates, new features, content releases, LiveOps, art production, analytics-led iteration, or added engineering capacity. The operating model is agreed around those needs rather than leaving support as an open-ended promise.
