Role Overview

We are looking for a talented and passionate Unity Shader Developer with hands-on experience in Shader Graph to create visually stunning and optimized real-time visual effects and materials. You will work closely with our art and development teams to bring scenes and characters to life using the latest Unity rendering technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality shaders using Unity Shader Graph for characters, environments, VFX, and UI.
  • Collaborate with artists and developers to achieve the desired visual style and performance targets.
  • Optimize and modify shaders for various platforms including mobile, PC and VR Platforms.
  • Implement real-time effects such as dissolves, holograms, water, energy fields, and stylized surfaces.
  • Work within Unity’s URP or HDRP pipelines to ensure proper integration and rendering quality.
  • Troubleshoot visual or performance-related shader issues and optimize GPU usage.
  • Stay updated on real-time rendering trends and Unity graphics features.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 2–3 years of experience developing shaders using Unity Shader Graph.
  • Strong portfolio showing real-time shader work (demo reels, GitHub, or project links).
  • Proficiency with Unity’s rendering pipelines (URP or HDRP).
  • Good understanding of Physically Based Rendering (PBR) workflows and materials.
  • Solid math skills, especially in linear algebra, vectors, matrices, and trigonometry, as applied in shader logic.
  • Familiarity with real-time lighting, normal maps, UV mapping, and surface interaction.
  • Experience working with Unity's Material and VFX systems.
  • Basic knowledge of HLSL or shader scripting is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in game development or interactive applications.
  • Familiarity with Unity’s Visual Effect Graph.
  • Understanding of rendering performance and GPU profiling.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Graphics, Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
