Project Genesis

MIKROS is the world’s leading in-app analytics service for mobile games. It works like other analytics services you may be familiar with such as Google Analytics (Firebase), Mixpanel, Amplitude, Unity Analytics, ect.

Small game studios and independent developers face many challenges and are at higher risk of both product and business failure. The underlying reason is the lack of comparable industry data. Without enough data, it’s impossible for them to identify ways to make their games more profitable. They have no idea which of their users are most valuable. Analytics, in general, enables you to track activity related to in-app sessions, and user behaviors.

MIKROS is the master of data analytics and analysis, reporting data in a variety of ways, such as real-time usage, trends over time, statistics, market behaviors, user satisfaction, purchase history, location segmentation, device or operating attributes and more. MIKROS empowers you and everyone, regardless of product popularity, to be more informed and data driven.

Scoping Out the Project

Mikros ecosystem required the development of Unity SDK and the corresponding Analytical tool to support the game developers and information sharing ecosystem.

MIKROS is a service that aims to provide a wide functional set. With minimal setup, tracking real-time user behaviors becomes easy-peasy! It offers the ability to monitor traffic sources, track where users come from, and even predict the likelihood any particular user would have an interest in your product or has a high propensity to spend in your product based on their gaming history.

There are a lot of other features offered by MIKROS as a service, including direct advertising campaigns and quicker mobile game development due to the out-of-box chat, achievements, leaderboard, registration/authentication, in-app purchases and many more features.

Facing Challenges Head on

To start with the the team was involved in Researches and trying to get the insights and data gatherings from different resources, and building the SDK and developing Mikros with features differentiating from other existing competitors. The major challenges was to develop an ecosystem identifying data diversity for advanced analytics. The ecosystem shared by game developers and advertisers provides a big picture view of risk versus economics, revealing true user behaviors and other common aspects. This data can also be calibrated down to the specific user, giving game developers the benefit of both the whole and the individual.

Solution - The Method to Madness

Predictive and comparative analytics is no longer a luxury, but a requirement. It is well-known that more data means more accurate results. There exists very insightful data to learn more about your users, but only if done collectively with the rest of the industry. There is simply not a large enough data set to perform accurate predictive analytics as an individual organization. Fortunately, MIKROS is coming to the rescue! Our technology provides an opportunity to analyze a much larger data set. With good models, each additional game studio contributing to the ecosystem will help continue to decrease your margin for error and allow you to have more confidence in your data-driven decision making for the future.

Although it is highly valuable, with other analytic services it is currently impossible for game developers to perform any comparative analysis. All product comparisons must stem internally and are not in real-time. MIKROS makes it possible for you to access industry data and receive predictive and comparative analytics daily. This makes it possible to stay on top of industry trends before they have passed. This enables you to create milestones based on your competitors. This will reduce the chance of product failure, and ultimately save dollars.
